Walnut Canyon National Monument

Another archaeological site containing ruins, built into the canyon walls, of the Salado people. Walnut Canyon is worth visiting, but the ruins are neither as well-preserved nor as accessible to the visitor as Wupatki or Tonto National Monuments. Take the Island trail for the best views of ruins.
